Foxie knows the feeling. It’s 4:38 p.m. on Sunday. You are sitting comfortably in your recliner when it hits you…tomorrow is Monday.

Suddenly, your brain shifts from “What a great weekend” to “Did I respond to that email…and I just remembered I have a 9:00 a.m. meeting.”

Welcome to Sunday Night Panic …where relaxation turns into high-level stress.

Before you start drafting Monday morning’s to-do list in your head for the fifth time, try these four simple fixes:

  1. Prepare for Monday on Friday – Make a short priority list before you leave Friday. Check next week’s calendar and sketch out a plan. Future-you will be grateful, and weekend-you can relax guilt-free.
  2. Errands on Saturday, rest on Sunday – Knock out all your running around early. Save Sunday for things you enjoy…family time, hobbies, or doing absolutely nothing. A planned Sunday feels intentional, rather than rushed.
  3. Get your sleep – Don’t stay up late on Sunday night trying to “stretch” your weekend. Go to bed a little earlier and wake up calmly. A peaceful Monday morning beats a chaotic one every time.
  4. Make Mondays less miserable – Plan something you enjoy on Monday night. Favorite dinner or dessert, watch a show you’ve been meaning to catch up on. Giving Monday a reward makes it feel like less than a villain.

If your Sunday anxiety is screaming louder than usual, it may be time for honest reflection. Sometimes the dread isn’t about Monday…it’s about misalignment. A job change can be scary…but so is spending every Sunday night super stressed out.
