Part one: She said “YES”
It took Dave three months to plan the proposal and buy the ring. 💍
It took him thirty seconds to ask the question.
It took Emily less than a second to answer.
“YES”
Those three little letters changed EVERYTHING.
What Dave didn’t realize was they also started a countdown filled with decisions, opinions, spreadsheets, stress, laughs, tears, family drama…and one VERY long to-do list.

Let’s check in on Dave and Emily…
It was a perfect Sunday morning (or so Dave thought), one week after the proposal. Coffee was made and enjoyed together on the back porch, the previous weeks highs and lows discussed, and now it was time to settle in for a long day of FOOTBALL. 🏈
Life couldn’t be better!
A couple of hours later, Dave heard Emily walking down the stairs into his mancave. He turned and thought, “Aww…my baby must be bringing me some game-time snacks”
Dave looked up from the game and saw Emily wasn’t carrying a tray filled with nachos and cold beverages.
Instead, Emily was carrying a notebook, her laptop, cell phone, three bridal magazines, and what looked suspiciously like color-coded sticky notes.
“What’s all that?”
“It’s stuff to help planning.”
Dave looked confused “Planning what?”
Emily froze… “Umm our wedding.”
Dave laughed.
“I already did all the hard stuff. I bought the ring and proposed. You said yes. Isn’t the rest just picking a date and showing up?”
Emily slowly closed her notebook.
“I know you are kidding me…right? OMG”
Within minutes, Dave learned there would be a venue, photographer, florist, caterer, DJ, invitations, seating charts, vendors, hotel blocks, guest lists, timelines, transportation, rehearsal dinners, and about one million decisions to be made.
It was at that point, Dave realized his weekends would never be the same.
Emily saw the distraught look on his face and his slumped shoulders.
“Don’t worry,” she said, “We’ll figure it out together.”
Little did they know, staying organized would become one of the biggest challenges of their entire wedding planning journey.
