 Franchise marketing is the way franchisors and franchisees grow their business. Their goal is to find people who may be interested in becoming a franchisee, as well as to attract new customers.

One of the many cool things about owning a franchise is that the franchise owner and the franchisee must work together if they both want to succeed. Having a marketing plan that is consistent and easy to duplicate is a must. 

  1. Know your target audience – To be successful and spend your marketing budget wisely, you must first determine who you are marketing to.  If you are targeting the senior citizen demographic, you will market them differently than you would someone in their twenties. The difference between talking about Elvis or Taylor Swift...know who you are targeting and market accordingly.
  2. Digital marketing – Digital marketing has become an essential element in the success of any franchise marketing. Franchisors and franchisees depend on digital marketing because it’s affordable, efficient, and instantly reaches its target audience to increase sales and conversions.
  3. Who are you? Tell your story – Customers choose your business not always based on the lowest prices, but based on what they know about you. Tell them who you are and why you are doing what you are doing..this builds a connection and develops loyalty. Make sure everything you post on social media also conveys your values, who you are, and where you came from.
  4. Social media is here to stay – Establishing a strong and positive social media experience is vital to attracting new customers. By telling the world who you are and what you do, you will build brand awareness and attract quality people who may be interested in your franchise. Social media ls also is a very easy and efficient way to respond to customers' questions and complaints and to stay in touch with what your customers want and need.

A huge benefit of joining a franchise is that it’s an already established brand and business. You will want to focus on local advertising, so optimize your content and web pages. Create separate local business listings for each franchise location so customers can find your business in their neighborhood.
