The Benefits of Using a Cell Phone for Business

I have given up on the idea of carrying around two phones … my own personal cell phone and one dedicated for work. Why would I need two phones if I can get everything done from just my own personal phone?

Let’s discuss some reasons why using a cell phone in business is a good idea and things to consider when using your personal phone to do so.

Who uses cell phones for business?

  • Cell phones are a huge work benefit to people who work in sales, delivery, IT, and many other fields.
  • Cell phones help you keep in constant contact with customers, who can communicate their wants and needs easily.

Life is simpler with just one phone

  • By using just one phone, there is no worry of forgetting one phone somewhere, no confusing one for the other.
  • No concern about being responsible for company property…the phone is yours.

Communication Improves

  • When your employer, co-worker, or customer tries reaching you, the odds are that you will have your personal phone with you and will receive the call/text. Who leaves home without their phone?
  • This is especially helpful at night or on weekends, anything outside the normal business hours. Tight deadlines or time-sensitive questions won’t be missed.

Familiarity

  • Like many others, I am very particular about the brand and model of cell phone I use. When I use my cell phone for work, I have full control over what type of phone I purchase and use.
  • I love having the ability to continue using the device that I like using and am most comfortable with.
