You run a small business. How do you market it?

When you own or run a small business, undoubtedly one of your major challenges is determining how to make your business stand out from your competition.

There are 100 places to get a pizza or to take my car to get fixed in town...why should I come to your place of business?

Stand apart from your competition by understanding what you do best, then focus on promoting that. By demonstrating that you offer something that adds value over your competition, you will gain that potential client’s interest and trust.

If you do any of the following, PROMOTE them:

  • Serve a niche market better than anyone else
  • Have an easier way of doing something
  • Describe why your long-term clients stay with you
  • Provide customization to products that others normally don't 
  • Offer training and excellent customer service to help your clients get the most from your products

Find your target market – By figuring out and focusing on your niche you will then be able to concentrate on what you need to do or adjust to make and build strong customer relationships.

Be easy to work with –From your first contact with a potential client to years later after you’ve been working together, you must make your customers feel like they’re the most important ones that you have.
